Casino Cruises, a new casino cruise ship, began to sail out of
Port Canaveral, Florida at terminal B2 in
August 2011.
The new cruise line hired about 400
employees and will sail seven days a week. An all-you-can eat
buffet is available on the ship for about $15-20.
Games aboard the ship include Las
Vegas style offerings, from blackjack to roulette. Slot machine
lovers should not be disappointed with the large array of machines
on board. For those not playing the games, entertainment is
provided, including a dance club with a live DJ.
The port signed a contract with
Victory Casino Cruises. C.E.O. J. Stanley Payne says it's owned by
a group of investors and he's confident they'll be around for a
while, because of two things.
"One is the money side of it,
and they are apparently well-financed. The other side is
operations, and they will have an operations expert actually doing
the day to day operation, so its a good combination," said
Payne.
"It will be outfitted nicely
with amenities, so it will be a first-class operation and that's
what we wanted," said Payne.
